Be prepared! - I haven t tried this yet, but just wanted first timers to beware! You will need distilled water, ceramic cup and paint brush to use with this or a squirt bottle. Unlike other hair coloring systems, you will have to do your own boiling and mixing. This takes a good 1 to 3 hours to prepare. Also, henna stains your skin, so you will have to use some lotion or vaseline to protect your face, forehead, etc. So, I agree with the work being well worth the NO Chemicals, but I didn t realize I would need to do so much work. I will update my rating, after I actually get the time to try this product!
This stuff is great!!! - I was really scared to try this . . . my hair dresser told me horror stories of bad henna hair color. But, I am preggers, and did not want the chemicals - but tired of looking at my grey! I followed the directions exactly (NOTHING METAL USED EVEN TO BOIL WATER!) and it turned out nice. Subtle color change, and no more grey. I will use it again for sure!
Covers my gray beautifully - I was tired of the gray but didn t want to use a chemical hair dye, so I decided to try Light Mountain. This henna works beautifully on my hair, giving it a slightly auburn, golden-brown cast, and covers my gray completely. My hair looks pretty and shiny, and is easier to manage with the henna in.Sure, it s a bit of a pain to mix the powder with water, and it smells a little herbal, but the benefits -- great coverage, no chemicals -- far outweigh the drawbacks. I do recommend mixing it up kind of thick, especially if you ll be applying it to wet hair. It s much less messy that way.
